Author Talk: Martha Engber's "Bliss Road"
Bliss Road: The Journey of a Neurodivergent Cheshire Family
Join us for an intimate family discussion with Martha Engber, award-winning author of Bliss Road, the first-ever memoir by the child of an undiagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder dad.
Bliss Road chronicles the difficult path to discovering her dad’s all-but-invisible disability and its psychological affects. Given an estimated 1 in 20 people worldwide has some neurodiverse condition, whether a mental illness, learning disability or physical condition like epilepsy, Ms. Engber encourages more understanding of — and help for — neurodiverse families to help them thrive.
Ms. Engber will be joined by members of her Cheshire family — her two sisters, Deanna Rozak and Sue Clarke, along with Sue’s son, Brian, who has ASD — all of whom play prominent roles in the book.
