Media Relations & The Modern First Lady
Quinnipiac University Media Studies professor Dr. Lisa Burns will discuss her book Media Relations and the Modern First Lady: From Jacqueline Kennedy to Melania Trump. She’ll talk about the communications tactics used by first ladies, the media coverage their efforts received, and the relationship between presidential spouses, their press secretaries, and the primarily female White House press corps assigned to cover the East Wing.
