Did a Connecticut Woman Kill Jack the Ripper

Did a Connecticut Woman Kill Jack the Ripper

Florence Maybrick was a high society southern belle in the 1800s, who married a well to do cotton trader, who some say was Jack the Ripper. She was convicted of murdering him in their home in England. After her jail term, she returned to the U.S. and through a series of twists and turns that are simply incredible, she ended up virtually broke and destitiute in her elderly years in the Gaylordsville section of New Milford. Was her husband "the Ripper"? Did she actually murder him? Why did she end up in Gaylordsville? You wont want to miss this talk.

Mike Allen, a noted story teller and former journalist Mike Allen narrates amazing tales about people, places and events from Connecticut history. His style and enthusiasm make history relatable, interesting, fun and informative.
