Event Information

Cheshire Repair Café

Don't throw it - fix it! Keep your clothes, appliances, and other items out of landfills by bringing them to the fourth annual Cheshire Repair Café!

In an effort to reduce what goes to the landfill, volunteers will provide free repairs of household items. Attendees are responsible for providing any necessary parts and for bringing their items into and out of the library. At this time, fixers are available to do sewing repairs (buttons, hems, tears; no zippers), bicycle tune-up & repair, repairs of household appliances (lamps, etc.), guitar restringing and tune-ups, soldering (no welding), computer troubleshooting, sharpening of tools and scissors, and small engine repair.

This event is open to all, not just Cheshire residents. All clothing brought in must be clean. No guarantees are given on repairs.

Donations of new men's socks will be gladly accepted and given to the Brian Gibbons Outreach Program to benefit homeless men in Greater Waterbury.

Program in partnership with the Coalition for a Sustainable Cheshire.
