Virtual Author Talk: A Fatal Finale

Virtual Author Talk: A Fatal Finale

Local author Kathleen Marple Kalb will explain how her career in radio news inspired her to write A FATAL FINALE, the first in a Gilded Age mystery series featuring a swashbuckling mezzo-soprano who sings male roles. She’ll also share some fun facts from the period, and shed a little light on some unexpected corners of Old New York.

Kathleen Marple Kalb, who lives in Cheshire with her husband and medium-size son (his description!), is currently a weekend anchor (working from home right now) at 1010 WINS Radio in New York.  A lifelong history buff, she wrote her first historical novel at age sixteen, but thankfully didn’t manage to sell it, finding much better response when she returned to writing fiction after her son started kindergarten. She’s now working on  A FATAL FIRST NIGHT, the next Ella Shane mystery.
