Kids Cook Dinner: Mac & Cheese (Ages 7-14)
Join Katie, Registered Dietitian from Food Explorers to make a lightened up version of mac & cheese! Not to worry, you’ll still be adding plenty of cheese to this recipe in addition to your choice of vegetable. You’ll need the following ingredients for this recipe:
- dried pasta (elbows work best)
- 2 Tbs butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 onion
- 2 cups milk
- cheddar cheese
- your choice of vegetable (spinach or broccoli work well)
- breadcrumbs and parmesan (optional)
Best for kids and teens ages 7-14 with adult supervision. Please register for this virtual program and a link to the Zoom meeting will be emailed one hour prior to the event.
