Murder by the Book Mystery Book Club: Strong Poison (online)
Do you like to read and talk about mysteries? Then join us for monthly book discussions, fresh perspectives, new authors and a friendly atmosphere! We are meeting virtually via Zoom for the present. Please note the time change--the Mystery Book Group will start at 1:00pm instead of 2:00pm.
This month we will discuss Strong Poison by Dorothy Sayers , a classic of the British Golden Age of mysteries.
The classic mystery that first featured Harriet Vane, companion sleuth to the dashing, perennially popular private investigator, Lord Peter Wimsey, from the mystery writer widely considered the greatest mystery novelist of the Golden Age--Dorothy L. Sayers. Strong Poison introduces Harriet Vane, a mystery writer who is accused of poisoning her fiancé and must now join forces with Lord Peter to escape a murder conviction and the hangman’s noose.
