Weed-Free Gardening (virtual program)

Weed-Free Gardening (virtual program)

Weeding is far from a gardener’s favorite chore. But not everyone can afford to hire a landscape crew to keep the weeds at bay, and spraying chemical herbicides isn’t a smart solution for eco-conscious homeowners or pet parents.  Join us for a program on organic weed control prevention and control strategies that really work. Tasha goes way beyond the usual suggestions for mulching and pulling weeds. In fact, she will explain why pulling weeds can actually be a bad idea and that mulching can cause problems when used with the wrong weeds. She will discuss what we can learn from our weeds and how weeds can actually help us.Tasha’s approach provides methods for both preventing weeds early in the growing season and managing weedy intruders year-round.

Tasha Greer is a homesteader and writer focused on enjoyable, sustainable living. She lives in northwestern North Carolina.
