December Art Show--Assemblages by Sarah Schneiderman
Breaking Political Barriers
Assemblages by Sarah Schneiderman
The 2020 election and the 2021 federal appointments brought new faces to the government at the local, state, and national levels. Many representatives and appointees are the first in their "group" to be elected or appointed to governmental offices. This exhibition tells the stories of some of these barrier breakers from marginalized groups and celebrates their wins.
Sarah Schneiderman, MFA, is an assemblage artist working in Glastonbury, CT and has exhibited both locally and nationally, including at multiple area libraries, art galleries and museums. Using trash as the medium, Sarah takes what we throw away and transforms it into something beautiful.
Sarah is a member of Arts Center East (Signature Member (Invitational)), Arts Council of Greater New Haven, ecoartspace.org, and Women’s Caucus for Arts, Greater Washington, D.C. and Georgia Chapters. Awards include an Alternative Medium Award from Connecticut Women Artists, several honorable mentions and merit awards from Arts Center East, Gallery Sponsor Award from Stockman Gallery in New Britain, and First Prize from Art League of New Britain.
